THIS SONY HITS THE SPOT!!
Being a Blu ray fan I have got a PS3 and SONY BDP-S300 player.
When I got my BDP-S350 from Amazon I was amazed by this player`s quality and presentation! It was really easy to set up and the remote was easy to navigate around. I quickly fed it IRON MAN on blu ray, and was Blown away by the picture quality! compared to my PS3, i would say that the BDP-S350 has the edge over the PS3 in terms of picture, as the edges are more sharper and colours more vibrant! I then tried CASINO ROYALE and again the picture quality was nothing short of astounding! incredible detail and depth of field, I was gobsmacked.
Its a very slim (4cm high!)machine and it looks very tidy and will compliment your LCD or Plasma very well, Sony have always produced products that are good looking as they are performing.
If you are looking for a Blu ray player and on a tight budget, then this Sony player is right up your street, affordable,breathtaking performance, and looks cool in your living room, nuff said!!..... Read more

At 82 I thought it was time to see what all the fuss about BluRay and HD was really about. I oredered the Sony BDPS360B and in usual Amazon service it was with me extraordinarily quickly. I set about unpacking and being a technophobe was wary about setting it up. It was easy and the instructions actually made sense. Very soon I was able to watch an old holiday DVD of mine. Best bit of kit I have owned
This purchase was a direct replacement for a previous Sony MP3 that I had owned for 5 years and had been very pleased with.
However, within minutes this machine had won me over and then some.First off the player is tiny and therefore ideal for those long trips especially on the train where you do not want a bulky machine.Secondly,the sound quality is far superior to the Ipod equivalent IMO and the machine is a joy to use (I found it similar to a Nokia phone in many respects.
Many people, me included, had hated the old Sonic Stage software but the drag & drop now used is quickly learnt & easy to use.
The only minus points are that the earphones are a horrible fit and the screen is far too small for anything other than the occassional short view.
In summary, I consider this to be the market leader if you can get past the design which is the only area that the ipod still trumps the Sony...... Read more

I have to disagree with Mr Bearman as I have the same model and consider it to be five star in every sense. I think he must have just been unlucky with his receiver as mine performs effortlessly taking in its stride everything I put through it. I have a Toshiba HD player, blu-ray player and v+ hd cable box connected up to it leaving me with another 3 HDMI inputs should I need them. It also upscales SD very well. With an intuitive GUI menu, full Dolby True HD/DTS-HD Master audio decoding and a host of other goodies I’m not surprised it received the EISA European Best Product award for 2008-2009......
