Superb HD Ready Plasma TV
Ordered on the Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday, so service was excellent on free Super Saver Delivery. Fairly straightforward to get the stand assembled and it looked good even before I switched it on. Looks classy with the minimalist border around the screen. Start-up menu could have been explained better but soon had all the Freeview channels stored. The picture was good enough on standard definition but nothing could have prepared me for the clarity and detail of High Definition through my Sky+HD box. Colours were pure and punchy and sharp both for sport and nature. Sound from the TV was far better than I expected though I will get a Dolby Digital system later...... Read more

Great TV
I was looking to upgrade the 15″ TV for my bedroom, so didn’t need anything too big and I wanted something light to mount on the existing wall bracket (this TV is 2 kg lighter than the 15″). I originally looked at the 19″ version but when I compared the price of the 19″ & 22″ I was amazed to find that the price was the same!! It seemed the logical choice. The TV was delivered but was faulty – the picture was displayed upside down. Amazon were great and sent out a replacement which arrived the next day. The quality of picture is great for a TV this size, it does take some fiddling around with the colour/brightness etc… to get it just right but the on screen menus make this easy. The LED backlighting makes a massive difference to the contrast which gives a really rich & clear picture and makes the blacks really look black and not dark grey as on other TVs. If I needed another small TV for any other room, I would definitely buy another of these and am so impressed I’m looking to replace the main TV with a larger version LED TV...... Read more

Great TV & DVD Player
Recently purchased this TV/DVD as we were looking to upgrade the TV in our bedroom. I debated for a while having either a combi or a separate TV and DVD, ultimately opting for this purchase. I looked at a number of similar combi’s, many at a lower price however many were not as well presented as this is, often with low resolution and very often with a max 19″ screen. Was lucky enough to see this item in store (at an increased price) which really helped as I could get an up close look. Like many of Samsung products it is well constructed feeling very sturdy and it has a great look for a 22″ TV. With the addition of the DVD player I had imagined that the TV would be bulky at the back, this is not the case. Refund on this one
I purchased this one but it came set on PC instead of TV so setting up was a nightmare. When set up picture and sound were good, however we struck a lemon. There was a fault with the power connection from within the set itself. The reason I am giving this review is not about the set itself but the amazing efficency we received from Amazon with regard to returning same. Picked up within hours. Full refund including delivery costs within days, even though they say it takes 4 weeks.
Am a little disappointed with relacement set (another brand) bought elswhere. Does not have the style and compact appearance of the Samsung. We were just unlucky that this one had been set wrong, I am sure they are not all like this...... Read more

Fantastic Picture
This is model is based on the latest Plasma technology. Samsung have branded their latest installment as series-4. I got this C450 last weekend and am very pleased with it. The best price/performance I think you’ll find at present. I wasn’t looking at 1080P as I prefer as good a contrast ratio as possible and 1080P screens at the lower price point have poor contrast ratio.
I’m not sure what the last review was on about! I’ve never had a problem with Plasma screens and besides the electonics in most (if not all) TVs are shielded to prevent causing or receiving interference. I have a phone line and internet router sat very close to the screen, no problems...... Read more

First impressions
Arrived this morning and it is a great looking little netbook so I will be sad to return it to Amazon becuase of a faulty wireless card. I can only reach 24Mbps wireless connection, even when connected to an N router. Samsung tried to help but simply suggested i return it as faulty.
I will have another one, the extra 1″ on the screen makes a big difference when sitting next to my NC10, so don’t be put off, i just hope yours works better than mine. I’m sure the next one wil be fine. The good points are the design, the screen, the keyboard, the weight etc etc, just this one thing that let’s my machine down.

Great Purchase
I bought this as I have read a lot of reviews on this product and I couldn’t find a bad word written about it. The upscalling of normal DVD’s is fantastic I can’t believe the picture quality of my old DVD’s. The only down side is that it’s a bit limited on the playback formats. Wi-Fi dongle included so you don’t have to hard wire it into your wireless network. I read 1 review which said this was difficult to set up. I did it in about 5 minutes if you know all your network settings. The load speed on this machine for blu-ray disks is staggering. Overall I think this is a great purchase, there are obviously other better machines out there but you can get this one delivered now for £199.00. I found it easy to use and set up and I think it’s a great bit of kit especially when connected up to my Samsung TV...... Read more

Excellent All Rounder
I purchased this TV from Amazon, and as usual it arrived when it was supposed to and the price was a lot better than on the high street.
Set up was quick and easy, just a few screws for the stand then turn it on and answer a couple of questions and it sets itself up in a less than 5 minutes.
I bought the TV for my parents to put in the living room and it is brilliant, they didnt want anything larger than 32″ so there wasnt really any point in getting a 1080p set. The picture quality is excellent on freeview and even better with Sky and to be honest just as good as my larger 1080p Sony Bravia. There are a few presets and many individual settings you can adjust to get the picture how you like it. Sound quality is very good too considering the size of the speakers, especially if you have a play with a few of the options.
The remote is uncluttered and easy to use and the on screen freeview guide is pretty good too.
One thing that may be a problem for some users is that this TV only has one scart socket, but it does have 3 HMDMI sockets so shouldnt be too much of a problem.

Simply stunning
The way this TV upscales standard Freeview TV and standard DVDs is hugely impressive (provided you’ve got a strong off-air signal and a decent DVD player). It’s such a relief to realise that I don’t have to throw away my (large) DVD collection, and can enjoy them all over again with near BluRay quality. It’s also the first TV I’ve ever owned which gave me perfect pictures staight out of the box, with no “tweaking” needed. It has literally transformed my viewing experience. But be warned – it gives poor quality digital TV signals (notably standard Sky boxes) and “budget” BluRay players very short shrift – you’d be far better off sticking with a high-quality DVD player than switching to a low-quality BluRay player. The other faults all relate to its super-thin dimensions. Whilst its thinness will draw gasps from your friends and make it perfect for wall-mounting, its tiny speakers are next to worthless, the absence of SCART sockets is a pain (just one mini SCART socket), and the rim-mounted LEDs mean that contrast is low on very dark scenes (the end credits on many films and TV programmes – white letters on a black background – look more like light grey on a black background). But I can live with that, given its plasma-like blacks, low power consumption, and excellent contrast in all but the darkest scenes...... Read more
